Alyona Getmanchuk, Director of the New Europe Center, joined the task force on drafting a new National Security Strategy of Ukraine.
The respective order of the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine was signed on July 4. Yesterday, on July 8, the first constituent meeting on this issue took place. NEC’s team is ready to contribute to drafting the future strategy by providing the expert advice on security issues, in particular on Ukraine-NATO relations, as well as analysis of challenges in the region.
The National Security Strategy is a long-term planning document identifying the current threats to Ukraine’s national security and the respective goals, tasks, mechanisms of protecting Ukraine’s national interests and serves as the basis for planning and implementation of the public policy in the field of national security.
