- The issue of Ukraine’s NATO membership must be on the agenda again when NATO leaders assemble in Washington in July 2024.
- It gives Russian President Vladimir Putin “great motivation to continue the war” if the military organization insists that Ukraine can’t join NATO until the fighting is over and that the fastest way to the negotiating table is to create a threat for Putin to lose Crimea or the war in general.
