A year after Italian elections: Rome’s influence on the future of the EU and Ukraine

The New Europe Center’s team organized a public discussion on Ukraine-Italy relations in a wider European context on 6 March. During the event, Kateryna Zarembo, NEC Deputy Director presented her research. Other invited speakers were Davide La Cecilia, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Italy to Ukraine; Yevhen Perelygin, Ambassador of Ukraine in Italy (Skype); Vasyl Khymynets, Director-General of the First European Directorate General in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. The event was moderated by Sergiy Solodkyy, NEC First Deputy Director.

• What are Italy’s strategic interests towards Ukraine?
• Italy’s influence on the EU future and its relations with Eastern Europe.
