Leo Litra, NEC’s Senior Research Fellow spoke at the event “Reviving the Eastern Partnership”. The event was aimed to assess the impact of the EU’s Eastern Partnership until date, as well as identify and compile the current trends, current problems, and best practices from Eastern Partnership member countries, especially from Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia.
Furthermore, as part of the event, the participants identified tools and mechanisms on how the EU’s Eastern Partnership might be upgraded in the future. A similar event took place in Chisinau and next is scheduled to take place in Tbilisi. In the aftermath the ideas from the three countries will be compiled in a paper containing recommendations. The paper will be presented in Brussels to the MEPs and other interested stakeholders.
The event took place in Kyiv on June 18, 2019 and was organized by the European Liberal Forum in cooperation with the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom.
