“It is very important for us to launch the process of Ukraine`s accession talk to the EU. Because if we go into the logic of the elections of the European Commission, it distances us for six months, and perhaps even more, from this decision”, commented Leonid Litra, Senior Research Fellow of the New Europe Center, for ТSN.ua.

On December 14-15, an EU summit will be held, where Ukraine expects to receive a political decision on the start of accession talks to the EU. However, there are a number of issues that can disrupt the start of official negotiations, and the process itself will not be fast.
