Last week, the New Europe Center (NEC) organized an advocacy visit to Belgium. This visit was the final in the advocacy tour throughout European capitals.
Alyona Getmanchuk, Director of the New Europe Center, and Leo Litra, Senior Research Fellow at the New Europe Center, had numerous meetings in Brussels:
- at NATO Headquarters;
- at the European Commission and the European Council;
- with MEPs, foreign diplomats;
- at expert organizations.
During a working lunch with NATO Deputy Secretary General Boris Ruge, “New Europe” presented the “Security Matrix of Ukraine” , voiced a vision of Ukraine’s accession process to the Alliance, answered questions that interested Boris Ryuge and his team on the situation in Ukraine.
“In Brussels we met with the Ambassador of France to NATO, David Zwach, who, in my opinion, is one of the most powerful French diplomats and foreign policy strategists, whom we met several times at the French Foreign Ministry. The Coalition of resolute and security guarantees for Ukraine ware discussed in detail”, Alyona Getmanchuk added.
The New Europe Center had the opportunity to personally congratulate Andrius Kubilius on his nomination for the high position of European Сommissioner for Defence and Space. There was a long and frank conversation for the sake of a common victory.
The advocacy visit to Belgium was carried out by the New Europe Center in partnership with ICUV (International Center for Ukrainian Victory) with the support of the “Renaissance” International Foundation.
