Whole of Society Conflict Prevention and Peacebuilding

The Case Study Report on Ukraine was produced as part of the project “Whole-of-Society Conflict Prevention and Peacebuilding” (WOSCAP). It contains the research findings on the EU’s interventions in conflict prevention and peacebuilding in Ukraine.

The report focuses on: the European Union Diplomatic Intervention in Ukraine; Security Sector Reform in Ukraine: the role of The European Union Border Assistance Mission to Moldova and Ukraine (EUBAM) and the European Union Advisory Mission (EUAM) Ukraine; and European Union Governance Intervention in Ukraine: Instrument contributing to Stability and Peace (IcSP) funded action “Restoration of Governance and Reconciliation in Crisis – Affected Communities of Ukraine”.

Further, it focuses on possible areas for improvement and recommendations regarding the EU capabilities. This case study report is based on both a desk research and field research, consisted of in-depth Interviews with the representatives of local and international actors.
