Leonid Litra, Senior Research Fellow, prepared a guest report “Can Europe Stand Alone in Supporting Ukraine? Scaling up the Defence Industry and Funding Defence Production” for the Stockholm Centre for Eastern European Studies (SCEEUS), where he is trying to answer the question if Europe can stand alone in supporting Ukraine and most importantly how it can do it.
It turns out that confiscation of core Russian sovereign assets remains the most significant and morally correct source of funds that could work to defend the continent.
