
New Europe Center invites to participate in the roundtable “Determining the Speed of Ukraine’s EU Accession: Political and Strategic Factors.” The event is organised in partnership with the civil society organisation National Interests Advocacy Network (ANTS).

Taras Kachka, Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine, will deliver a keynote address at the beginning of the event.
The question of potentially accelerating Ukraine’s accession to the European Union is increasingly present in public and expert discussions. The event aims to discuss the political preconditions, opportunities, and key challenges that may shape the pace of Ukraine’s progress towards EU membership.

- Ukraine’s EU membership as part of broader security guarantees and a key pillar of European stability
- New ideas and arguments for accelerating the enlargement process
- Fast accession and fast reforms: how realistic is it?
During the event, Leonid Litra, Senior Research Fellow, New Europe Center, Senior Policy Fellow, ECFR, will present a vision for a new EU enlargement architecture — the “Membership by Design” model.
