Today, the New Europe Center hosted an expert meeting with Ralf Stegner, a member of the Bundestag from the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD).

The event was organized by our think tank in partnership with Deutsch-Ukrainisches Büro (DUB). The meeting was moderated by Alyona Getmanchuk, Director of the New Europe Center.

We are grateful to the experts who during the meeting shared their proposals to strengthen German support for Ukraine in the war with Russia. In particular, it was about the need to close loopholes in the sanctions regime, uniting the efforts of democracies in the fight against a coalition of tyrannies, etc.

Ralph Stegner is a member of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, chairman of the subcommittee on disarmament, arms control and non-proliferation. Between 2014 and 2019, he was the SPD’s deputy chairman.
