After 16 years of intensive work in the think tank field, Alyona Getmanchuk has completed her tenure as Director of the New Europe Center. On June 13, 2025, by Presidential Decree of Ukraine, Alyona Getmanchuk was appointed as the Head of Ukraine’s Mission to NATO. Leadership of the Center now transitions to Sergiy Solodkyy, who previously served as First Deputy Director, as well as to the renewed Supervisory Board chaired by Kateryna Zarembo.
The Center’s strategic priorities remain unchanged — supporting Ukraine’s Euro-Atlantic integration, in particular accession to the EU and NATO.
“I would like to thank the Center’s team and our partners who showed solidarity and unconditional support in the formative years of the Center; with whom we launched bold initiatives and studies, developed concrete policy solutions, knocked on the doors of key world capitals countless times with advocacy visits, shifted discourses and adjusted narratives, explained the logic of EU and NATO actions here, and Ukraine’s actions there. Much has been done, and even more lies ahead,” stated Alyona Getmanchuk.
The New Europe Center continues its work as a leading Ukrainian think tank focused on foreign policy, security, and European integration.
