The “New Europe” Center became a partner of the “Ukraine in the European Union: Time to Act” conference, which took place on September 26 in the Italian Senate (Senato della Repubblica).

Kateryna Zarembo, Associate Fellow, presented the think tank initiative “Candidate Check” and spoke about the process of EU accession reforms in Ukraine.

“The evaluations of Ukrainian civil society are sometimes more strict than the European Commission’s evaluations, but even they note Ukraine’s significant progress in fulfilling the seven requirements for opening negotiations on accession. We hope that Ukraine will soon be able to start negotiations on accession to the EU,” commented Kateryna Zarembo .
