Key opinion poll results on Ukrainians’ expectations regarding certain issues of the foreign policy of Ukraine’s future President are following: 

• For 54% of Ukrainians, it is important for the future President of Ukraine to continue European integration.
• Most Ukrainians did not feel any positive effect of rapprochement with the EU.
• Almost 20% of Ukrainians would like the conflict between Ukraine and Russia to be resolved in the Budapest Format.
• Ukrainians believe that the future President should look up to the political style of Lukashenko, Merkel, and Grybauskaitė. Half of the respondents found it hard to answer the relevant question.

Methodology: This survey includes 4 waves of face-to-face interviews. There are no less than 2 000 residents of Ukraine in each wave.

The interviews were conducted with the residents of Ukraine aged 18 years old and older. Sample design corresponds to the distribution of adult population of Ukraine by age, sex, oblast and settlement type according to the data of the State Statistics Service of Ukraine as of January 1, 2017 (excluding AR Crimea and NGCA of Donetska and Luhanska oblasts).

Margin of sample error (not including design effect) does not exceed 2.2% for national sample.
