INFOGRAPHIC: Japan’s aid for Ukraine
22 March 2023, 12:53

Japan will allocate $30 million for non-lethal weapons for Ukraine and another $470 million in the form of new bilateral grant aid for Ukraine’s energy sector and other industries, – Prime Minister of Japan Fumio Kishida announced during a press conference with the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Kyiv, on March 21. Fumio Kishida was the only G7 leader who had not yet visited Kyiv.

In the meantime, we would like to bring to your attention an infographic by the New Europe Center on how Japan is helping Ukraine during the war.

A year ago, at the beginning of the full-scale invasion, we also analyzed how Japan was helping Ukraine.

Find more about how the war can change bilateral Ukrainian-Japanese relations in the discussion paper by Alyona Getmanchuk, Director of the New Europe Center.

Let us remind you that in late February, the New Europe Center held the Third Ukraine-Japan Forum. Key messages of the speakers are available here.
