11 February 2026, 19:48

On February 11, 2026, the New Europe Center hosted a round-table of the New Europe Club on the topic “Navigating the changing international context: security guarantees, European defence, and the Ukrainian resilience”.

The participants were welcomed by Sergiy Solodkyy, Director of the New Europe Center.

The guest speakers of the event were Jana Kobzova, Co-Director, European Security Programme, Senior Policy Fellow, ECFR; Balázs Jarábik, Political Analyst, Essential Ukraine; and Leo Litra, Senior Research Fellow, New Europe Center, Visiting Fellow, ECFR.

In a trusting atmosphere, in an “off-the-record” format, the participants discussed a wide range of issues, including: current U.S. policy approaches toward Ukraine; challenges related to Ukraine’s accelerated/gradual accession to the EU; realistic security guarantees; and further international support for Ukraine.

The New Europe Club is an expert platform for open exchange of views between representatives of Ukraine and foreign partners on key security and foreign policy issues.
