The New Europe Center held the Second Germany Breakfast Debate in Kyiv “Priorities and expectations from Ukraine and Germany: How to make bilateral relations more sustainable”, organized in partnership with the Institute of the European Politics (Berlin).
In the closed-door online event took part the representatives of the government, parliament, Office of the President of Ukraine, as well as leading Ukrainian and German think-tanks.
During the event Alyona Getmanchuk, New Europe Center Director, and Sergiy Solodkyy, First deputy director, presented key results of the joint research by the New Europe Center and the Institute of the European Politics (Berlin) “Priorities and expectations from Ukraine and Germany: How to make bilateral relations more sustainable”.
The Germany Breakfast Debates is a unique format, taking place in Kyiv on the regular basis. It is the continuation of the series of Ukraine Breakfast Debates, which has been held by the Institute for European Politics in Berlin since 2017. The Germany Breakfast Debates initiative aims to discuss the views of German experts and decision-makers on events in Ukraine and Germany, as well as to establish a professional dialogue between experts from both states.
The publication “Priorities and expectations from Ukraine and Germany: How to make bilateral relations more sustainable” has been developed with the support of the Open Society Initiative for Europe in the framework of the “Europeanisation beyond Process” initiative jointly implemented by the New Europe Center and the Institut für Europäische Politik. This event is part of the new project “German Ukrainian Researchers Network” (GURN).
