“Where NATO is expanding, the Russian Empire has no chance to expand in any of its forms”.
On July, 26 Alyona Getmanchuk, Director of New Europe Center, took part in the presentation of a sociological research study “WAR. PEACE. VICTORY. FUTURE”. The research was conducted by the Ilko Kucheriv “Democratic Initiatives” Foundation, in collaboration with the Center for Political Sociology, commissioned by ICUV.
The study showed that 72% of surveyed Ukrainians are not ready to give up joining NATO as a concession to Russia. We remind, that at the end of last year, the New Europe Center asked Ukrainians a similar question: “Do you think it is possible to start peace negotiations with Russia by offering Ukraine`s refusal to join NATO in exchange for the withdrawal of Russian troops from the occupied territories of Ukraine?”. 69% of citizens answered this question negatively.

- 53% of Ukrainians are prepared to continue the war if necessary for victory.
- For 68% of Ukrainians, victory for Ukraine means the complete defeat of Russia.
- For 70%, victory entails the liberation of occupied territories from the enemy.
- 77% of Ukrainians are confident in Ukraine’s victory.
- 78% of Ukrainians believe that all Russians are responsible for the aggression against Ukraine.
