Study visit for European opinion leaders

As a part of the 2nd EU Accession Exchange Forum, on September 28-29, some of the European participants of the event had a series of bilateral meetings with government officials, parliamentarians, experts and activists.

“The most frequent questions to Ukrainian interlocutors are the following: how exactly is Ukraine preparing for a long war; how do we plan to deal with the upcoming Trump presidency; do we have the capacity (or, in fact, just people) for a real accession process in the EU”, – this is how Alyona Getmanchuk, director of the New Europe Center, summarized the main topics of the meetings.

The foreign delegation had an opportunity to meet Ihor Zhovkva, Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Yehor Cherniev, Head of the Permanent Delegation of Ukraine at the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze, Chair of the Parliamentary Committee on Ukraine’s Integration into the EU.

The EU Accession Exchange Forum is organized by the New Europe Center in partnership with the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister of European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine, the International Renaissance Foundation, the Institute for European Policies and Reforms, the Soros Foundation in Georgia and the Center for Liberal Modernity, Germany. European Pravda became Forum media partner. The Accession Exchange Forum is taking place with EU support, within the EU-funded “European Renaissance of Ukraine” project implemented by the International Renaissance Foundation.
